BOLIVIA-OIL-BRIBERY-RAMIREZ
The president of Bolivia's state oil company YPFB, Santos Ramirez, answers questions during a press conference in La Paz on January 30, 2009. Ramirez is being investigated under suspicion he is involved in an alleged case of bribery with the Argentine-Bolivian group Catler Uniservice, which was awarded a contract for the construction of a liquids separation plant in Rio Grande, department of Santa Cruz. Ramirez was linked in the bribery case by press investigations that followed the murder on January 27 of an executive of Catler Uniservice, Bolivian Jorge O'Connor Darlach, who was shot in the streets by robbers who stole 450.000 US dollars he was carrying at the time.
