The study shows significant improvement in the walking of spinal cord injured rats. The results demonstrate that the injured animals improved to 70 percent of normal walking function. The never before tested combination therapy was designed by Damien D. Pearse, PH.D. and Mary Bartlett Bunge, Ph.D. with the hope of helping damaged neurons overcome inhibitory signals after injury.
