FILES-US-DETROIT-AUTO SHOW-GM
(FILES) Rick Wagoner (R), General Motors Chairman and CEO and Robert A. Lutz (L), General Motors Vice Chairman speak during a press preview at the North American International Auto Show in this January 12, 2009 file photo in Detroit, Michigan. General Motors said February 10, 2009 it would cut 10,000 white-collar jobs worldwide this year as part of a restructuring plan the struggling automaker submitted to the government in exchange for a bailout. GM said it expected the headcount reduction to reduce its global salaried workforce to about 63,000 in 2009 and would cut the pay for most retained US salaried employees through at least the end of the year.
