MIDEAST-ISRAEL-VOTE
An Israeli worker follows the results of his country's general elections on February 11, 2009 at the Labor party headquarters in Tel Aviv. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's centrist Kadima party inched ahead of its right-wing Likud rivals in today's election, setting the stage for a protracted battle to form a new government. Exit polls released by three Israeli television channels showed Kadima ahead with 29-30 seats followed closely by Benjamin Netanyahu's right-wing Likud party with 27-28 seats in the 120-member Knesset, or Israeli parliament.
