Chinese Environmental Protection Vice Minister Li Ganjie (L) addresses a press conference on February 18, 2009 on the sidelines of the 25th session of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) annual governing council meeting at UNEP headquarters in Nairobi as UNEP Executive Director Achim Steiner looks on. Beijing, one of the most polluted urban areas in the world, received acclaim in a UNEP environmental impact assesment report released on February 18 for its performance during the 2008 Olympic Games.
