The Defense Department has decided to lift a ban on media coverage of the return of flag-draped coffins of fallen soldiers from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a Pentagon official said on February 26, 2009. The decision by Defense Secretary Robert Gates will allow photos of the coffins at Dover Air Force in the US state of Delaware, on the condition that families of the dead soldiers agree, the official told AFP.
