Israeli Foreign Minister and Kadima party leader Tzipi Livni (L) meets Likud party leader Benjamin Netanyahu (R) on February 27, 2009 at a Tel Aviv hotel. Last-ditch efforts to form a broad-based Israeli coalition failed, paving the way for a rightist government and fuelling concerns about prospects for peace with the Palestinians.
