BRAZIL-FINANCE-CRISIS-EMBRAER-PROTEST
Union members hold banners and a coffin (L) with a picture of Embraer's president Frederico Fleury Curado as they gather to protest at the main entrance of the production plant of Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, in Sao Jose dos Campos, some 90 km north of Sao Paulo, Brazil, on February 27, 2009. Embraer announced last week it is to slash more than 4,000 jobs, or 20 percent of its workforce, because of the "unprecedented crisis hitting the world economy." The mass lay-off was the biggest announced by a Brazilian company since the financial crisis broke open last September. The company, which trails third behind Airbus and Boeing in the world commercial aviation market, earns 90 percent of its revenues from exports. AFP PHOTO/Mauricio LIMA
