NIRELAND-BRITAIN-UNREST
Armed policemen walk past a wall with the words 'CIRA Still At War' sprayed on it in a residential estate in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, on March 10, 2009, a short distance away from the scene where a policeman was killed late Monday night. The Continuity IRA, (CIRA) which claimed responsibility Tuesday for killing a policeman in Northern Ireland, is a hardline group opposed to any deal that does not include a united Ireland. It was one of the dissident groups highlighted last year by inspectors overseeing the peace process in the province as being of concern because it had raised its levels of activity and was prepared to target the police.
