GERMANY-RAILWAY-DEUTSCHE-BAHN-MEHDORN
CEO of German railway giant Deutsche Bahn (DB) Hartmut Mehdorn gives a press conference to announce the company's 2008 annual results on March 30, 2009 in Berlin. Mehdorn said he was offering his resignation after a string of damaging scandals. He was under pressure following revelations the company had spied on employees' emails and had also become embroiled in scandals over train safety and bonus payments relating to the firm's proposed privatisation.
