FRANCE-ENERGY-ENVIRONMENT-AUTO-BIOINDUSTRY-E10
A gas pump attendant puts a sticker with name of new E10 gasoline, a mix of ethanol and traditional gas, on April 1, 2009 at a Paris gas station on the first day of its sale. The E10 contains 10 percent ethanol and the rest traditional gas for cars and light trucks to allegedly reduce global warming. E10 has come under fire from environmental groups such as Greenpeace, which criticizes the use of colza and soja for power rather than food. AFP PHOTO ERIC PIERMONT
