TO GO WITH AFP STORY by SIMON STURDEE - This picture taken on January 1, 2009 shows a farmer sitting on his homemade East German tractor built in the year 1962. From March 3 to June 28, 2009, the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin presents an exhibition of photographs by Bernd Hiepe and Erasmus Schroeter, depicting bizarre-looking contraptions of these homemade tractors made of rusty construction machinery, bits of old cars, old Nazi or Soviet military vehicles and even pre-war motorbikes.
