DJIBOUTI-SOMALIA-US-PIRACY-EXERCISE
A picture released and distributed by the Navy Visual News Service and taken on April 1, 2009 shows a light armored vehicle disembarking from a landing craft air cushion (LCAC) after landing on the beach during an exercise near Camp Lemonier, Djibouti. The LCACs deployed to the beach from the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), flagship for Combined Task Force 151, a multinational task force conducting counter-piracy operations to detect and deter piracy in and around the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Red Sea.
