Employees of Scapa, an industrial adhesives manufacturer, chat at the plant of Bellegarde-sur-Valserine on April 8, 2009 where three British executives and a local manager were taken in hostage at the plant late Tuesday by employees to protest against the closing plans of the site. Scapa announced in February it would close the Valserine plant in Bellegarde, saying it was forced to cut back after the market for car industry adhesives collapsed by 50 percent in 2008.
