KAZAKHSTAN-RUSSIA-US-SPACE-SIMONYI
A Russian Soyuz TMA-13 space capsule lands near Dzhezkazgan, in central Kazakhstan on April 8, 2009. The capsule carrying a Russian-American crew, safely returned to Earth on Wednesday along with a U.S. billionaire whose the second paid voyage to the international space station ended with a landing on the Kazakh steppe. Russia's space tourism partnership with US company Space Adventures, which also organised Simonyi's debut trio in April 2007, has provided a welcome boost to funding for its space programme since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
