KENYA-US-PIRATES-SOMALIA-MAERSK-ALABAMA
Marine ship lifeboats sit on their launch mechanisms on the back of merchant ships docked at the Kenyan port of Mombasa on April 12, 2009. The captain of the Maersk Alabama, Richard Phillips, is still being held by pirates in a similar life boat as the one pictured here after they were forced off the vessel shortly after seizing it early on April 8, while it was in the Indian Ocean about 500 kilometres (310 miles) off the Somali coast. Several US Navy ships are closely shadowing the life boat that holds the captain and his four captors adrift in the seas off Somalia's coast. AFP PHOTO/Roberto SCHMIDT
