Frenchman Jean-Michel Andre and daughter Elise arrive to attend a press conference, on April 14, 2009, in Marseille, southern France after the three-year-old girl, who was abducted by her Russian mother and whisked off to Hungary in a bitter custody dispute, was flown home to France with her father Today. The girl, Elise, whose warring parents have both been accused of abducting her, was seized by two men and a woman in the southern French city of Arles on March 20, sparking an international search. Jean-Michel Andre, who was beaten up during the abduction, flew to Hungary to collect his daughter after the mother Irina Belenkaya was arrested trying to take her over the border into Ukraine.
