A man writes in the condolence register in the Apeldoorn City Hall on May 1, 2009, a day after a car crashed, killing five onlookers who were waiting to see the Dutch royal family on Queen's Day. The car driver, who had sought to ram the Dutch royal family, died from his injuries on May 1. The driver, identified in the Dutch press as Karst S, 38, had confessed to police that his action was aimed against the royal family, before being hospitalized with critical injuries.
