CZECH-EU-SENATE-LISBON-TREATY
Czech senators vote on May 6, 2009 at the Czech Senate in Prague on the European Union's Lisbon Treaty. Czech senators approved the EU's Lisbon Treaty, paving the way for its full ratification The treaty needed a three-fifth majority of all senators present and made it through the upper house of Czech parliament owing to 54 votes from 79 senators in the room, while 20 were against.
