CHINA-QUAKE-SCHOOL-TOLL-FILES
(FILES) This file photo taken on May 14, 2008 shows a father crying on clothes for his child as he waits for rescue workers to dig through rubble in the hope of finding her alive at a primary school building that collapsed after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the town of Hanwang in Sichuan Province. The powerful quake that hit southwest China one year ago left 5,335 students dead or missing in Sichuan province, an official said on May 7, 2009, the first time the government has given such a tally. China will mark on May 12, 2009 the first anniversary of the deadly quake that left nearly 87,000 people dead or missing, injured 375,000 and made more than five million homeless.
