Newly crowned 'Miss Brazil 2009' Larissa Costa of Rio Grande do Norte state smiles after receiving the crown during the official crowning ceremony at the Latin America Memorial in Sao Paulo on May 9, 2009. The newly crowned 'Miss Brazil 2009' will be awarded with 200,000 reais (approximatively 100,000 USD) in work contracts, such as a new vehicle, jewelry and clothes. Twenty-seven Brazilian beauties from all states competed for the 2009 beauty pageant for a chance to represent the country in the international Miss Universe competition next August in the Caribbean island of Bahamas.
