US Lance Armstrong attends the start of the ninth stage of 92nd Giro of Italy, a 165km race held on an inner city circuit in Milan on May 17, 2009. The entire pack stopped in their tracks six laps from the end to make a protest about unsatisfactory safety measures. Great Britain's Mark Cavendish (Columbia/USA) won the stage, Italy's Danilo Di Luca (LPR/IRL) remains first of the overall rank and keeps the pink jersey. AFP PHOTO DAMIEN MEYER
