Jose Maria Cortes, leader of the Amateurs Forcados Group of Montemor, catches a Miura bull during a bullfight in downtown Evora, central Portugal, on May 17, 2009. The forcados are a group of eight men who challenge the bull directly, in a single line and bare-handed. The front man provokes the bull into a charge to perform a "pega de caras" (face catch), securing the animal's head and is quickly aided by his fellows who surround and hold the animal until he is subdued.
