People make their way through Times Square, the famous stretch of Manhattan?s Broadway Avenue between 47th Street and 42nd Street, before work starts to turn the area into a pedestrian-friendly area in New York, May 20, 2009. Sometime on May 24, 2009, workers will close off Broadway to refashion one of the world?s most congested stretches of asphalt into a pedestrian plaza.
