Australian Simon Gerrans (Cervelo/SUI) rides to win the 14th stage of 92nd Giro of Italy between Florence and Bologna on May 23, 2009. Gerrans sprinted clear on the brutal final 2km climb to claim victory while Russian Denis Menchov of Rabobank maintained his overall lead with a 34sec advantage over 2007 winner Danilo Di Luca.
