INDONESIA-PORT-ECONOMY
A cargo ship carrying imported goods waits to unload its cargo at the upgraded Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) in Tanjung Priok port on May 27, 2009. The recent expansion has nearly doubled the handling capacity of the modern port to 2.5 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) per annum compared with 1.5 million TEU 10 years ago. Indonesia's largest container terminal is jointly owned by Hutshison Port Holdings Group and state owned PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II. Despite the gloom in the world economy, Indonesia's trade should rebound as soon as next year according to Trade Minister Mari Pangestu. AFP PHOTO/Bay ISMOYO
