French customs officers open on May 27, 2009, in Montpellier, southern France bags of seized cocaine found in a British-registered truck during routine motorway checks. The seizure of 684 kg of cocaine, estimated to be worth some 27 million euros (37.5 million dollars) was "the largest land haul of cocaine in France," regional customs bosses said after it was picked up on the southwestern A9 highway.
