FRANCE-BRAZIL-AIR-ACCIDENT
Erick Derivry, spokesman for the Air France SNPL union speaks during a press conference on June 9, 2009 at the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport, north of Paris. Air France raced to replace within days airspeed monitors on its Airbus A330 jets after one plunged into the Atlantic, pilots said, as salvage crews recovered more bodies and debris. The decision to fit new "pitot probes" on A330 and A340 planes came as a union urged pilots not to fly these jets after the crew of the June 1 flight from Rio to Paris lost control and crashed, killing all 228 people on board.
