Veterans lay wreaths at the Cenotaph during the Normandy Veterans' Association parade and service in Whitehall, central London on June 21, 2009. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the mass landing of Allied forces in northern France during the Second World War. Eddie Izzard became involved in veterans campaigns after meeting a former Royal Navy sailor, Billy Swift, five years ago.
