Carlo Todarello, one of the eigth co-accused, unexpectedly arrives for a session of the trial concerning the murder of former Belgian minister Andre Cools, 06 November 2003, at Liege's court house. Minister of State Andre Cools was murdered on 18 July 1991. The shocking killing of Cools exposed a series of murky scandals involving politics and bribes which damaged several senior politicians, including then NATO secretary general Willy Claes, who was forced to resign.
