LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 28: Iranian-Americans and supporters march to protest what they say are crimes against humanity and democracy committed by the government of Iran during and after the disputed June 12 Iranian presidential election results on June 28, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. Iranian media have reported that about eight local employees of the British Embassy in Tehran have been detained for alleged participation in post-election protests. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is accusing the West, particularly the US and Britain, of interfering with internal Iranian politics and enflaming civil unrest by expressing concern over the fierce crack-down on protesters in Iran. The government has barred all journalists working for international news organizations in Iran from reporting on the streets and confined them to working in their offices. Election authorities declared President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the winner by a landslide but opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi and two other main presidential candidates alleged that the election was rigged.
