FRANCE-BRAZIL-LULA-SOCRATES
Portugal prime Minister Jose Socrates speaks at the UNESCO's headquarters in Paris, on July 7, 2009, as Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (not pictured) received the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Peace Prize. Lula, who is to go on to attend the G8 summit in Italy where Brazil as a member of so-called G5 nations, along with Mexico, China, India and South African, that are invited each year to participate in the G8 summit, said that hosting the Games would not only be a boost to Brazil but to the whole continent.
