FRANCE-SAILING-FALCO-MARINE-EXPLORATION
Albert Falco, former captain of the Calypso, the symbol ship of late French legend explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, poses at the helm of his 33-meter sailing vessel - Fleur de Passion -, a converted World World II German ship, in the harbour of Marseille on July 10, 2009. Falco with a crew of adventurers will take to the high seas on July 11 on a decade-long mission inspired by Jacques Yves Cousteau to examine the world's most important underwater treasures. Swiss-based marine conservation group the Antinea Foundation, behind the project, will connect their old-fashioned adventure to a modern audience via the Internet in a bid to boost interest in the seas.
