SPAIN-NATO-SEA-DAY-EXERCICES
The Portuguese frigate Corte Real (L), US frigate USS Halyburton (C) and German frigate Emdem (R) are anchored at the Naval Base of Rota, south of Spain, on July 12, 2009.
The North Atlantic Council (NAC) chaired by NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer will embark on July 13, 2009 on NATO?s Standing Maritime Group One (SNMG1) vessels to witness the operational capabilities of the naval force during the NATO Sea Day conducted in Spanish exercise areas outside the port of Rota.
