NIGERIA-OIL-UNREST
Two expatriates fire fighters look at the burst oil pipelines belonging to the corporation at the Altas Cove in Lagos, destroyed with dynamite by the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) overnight on July 13, 2009. The MEND took their battle with the government into Lagos, the country's commercial capital, striking a Lagos oil tanker wharf and killing five workers including naval officers during the night raid.
