GERMANY-DEFENCE-WWII-COMMEMORATION
German Economic Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg speaks during the commemoration ceremony of the opposition against the national socialist dictatorship on July 20, 2009 at the former Ploetzensee prison in Berlin. The July 20 1944 plot saw aristocratic army officer Count Claus von Stauffenberg place a bomb at Hitler's headquarters in East Prussia, in present day Poland. Von Stauffenberg and several others were executed shortly afterwards in the courtyard of the Bendlerblock, and around 90 people suspected of involvement were executed in Ploetzensee.
