BRITAIN-POLICE-CRIME

A combination of handout pictures obtained on August 11, 2009, from Britain's Metropolitan Police, shows some of the 43 jewellery items stolen from Graff's jewellery store in London on August 6, 2009. The items are; a multicoloured and white pearshape, round and cushion diamond flower necklace, (L) a pair of white diamond double hoop earrings, (Centre Top) a platinum white Marquise diamond ring (Centre Below) and a Chronograff Men's 45mm watch with gold buckle (R). Robbers pulled off what is thought to be Britain's biggest jewellery heist in a 40 million pound (47 million euro, 65 million dollar) raid at a chic London shop, police said Tuesday. A total of 43 rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches were taken from Graff on London's upmarket New Bond Street on August 6, when two smartly dressed men walked in armed with handguns and threatened staff.
