NORWAY-EXPEDITION-AMUNDSEN
Expedition leader Rob Mc Callum (L), captain Karl Petter Hagen, captain lt Kjell Lutnes (R) pose on August 23, 2009, with a petrol tank from the Norwegian legendary polar explorer Roald Amundsen's Latham 47 sea plane, who crashed 80 years ago outside Spizbergen in the Arctic Norway. On August 24, 2009 an expedition with a group of experts will embark from Tromsoe, Northern Norway, on a large scale naval expedition in search of the plane, used by Amundsen to join a rescue operation after Italian general and aviator Umberto Nobile had crashed on airship "Italia" on a return voyage from the North Pole.
