GABON-VOTE
A woman holds up a poster of Ali Bongo Ondimba, the son of the late president Omar Bongo Ondimba and current leading candidate for Gabon's next presidential elections during a campaign meeting on August 27, 2009 in Libreville. The poster reads in French "Facing mixed aspirations with the PDG (Partie Democratique Gabonias) Ali bongo Ondimba is the best choice for Gabon". The late president's son, Ali Bongo, is considered favourite to win the vote, even though 12 candidates have called for the election to be postponed because of what they call "flagrant irregularities" in its organisation.
