Australian Trade Minister Simon Crean addresses a session on "WTO Negotiations: What do we need to conclude the Doha deal?" organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi on September 2, 2009. WTO Director General Pascal Lamy and ministers from rich and emerging nations with sharp differences on issues such as farm subsidies and tariffs on industrial products will meet in New Delhi as thousands of Indian farmers demand increased efforts to make agriculture remunerative so the country is food-independent.
