GREENLAND-ENVIRONMENT-ARCTIC-GLACIER
This photo taken on August 21, 2009 shows Bergs calved from Helheim glacier floast in Sermilik Fjord in south-east Greenland. According to Greenpeace, Greenland's ice sheet has more than doubled its contribution to sea-level rise in the last seven years due to a rapid and unpredicted loss of ice. Global warming in the Arctic could affect a quarter of the world's population through flooding and amplify the wider impact of climate change, a report by environmental group WWF said on September 2, 2009.
