BRITAIN-ATTACKS-SADJI BADAT

A 24-year-old British Muslim scholar was to appear in a London court Thursday charged with conspiring to cause an explosion with "shoe bomber" Richard Reid, the Briton jailed in the US this year for trying to blow up a passenger plane.
