MIDEAST-ISRAEL-ARCHAEOLOGY

A handout picture received on September 9, 2009 from the Israel Museum in Jerusalem shows a rare Hebrew prayer book from the 4th-century in Germany. The book, called the Nuremberg Mahzor, contains 1,042-page manuscript and about 100 liturgical hymns and is one of the largest surviving codices from the medieval period. The book will be displayed at the Israel Museum starting next week, days before the Jewish New Year holiday of Rosh Hashana. AFP PHOTO/ HO/ISRAEL MUSEUM == RESTRICTED TO EDITORIAL USE ==
