Major Sylvester Daniels at Arlington National Cemetery on September 10, 2009 in Arlington, Virginia. Master Sgt. Benjamin, an explosives ordnance disposal technician, died in the Helmand province of Afghanistan during combat operations that turned hostile. Benjamin was deployed twice to Iraq, from February to October 2007 and again from February to September 2008 and received several awards, including commendation medals and achievement medals from both the Navy and Marine Corps.
