UKRAINE-GBR-HEALTH-ELTON JOHN
David Furnish (L), partner of British musician Sir Elton John, holds Ukranian boy Lev at a specialized orphanage for HIV-positive children after the first results of the "Children plus" project were presented in the Ukrainian city of Makeyevka, some 30 kms northeast of Donetsk, on September 12, 2009. Elton John wants to adopt a 14-month-old boy from the Ukraine, saying that the toddler has "stolen my heart" after meeting him at an orphanage. The British singer-songwriter, visiting the Ukraine with his AIDS charity foundation, performed for children at the orphanage, some of whose parents had died of the disease.
