FRANCE-POLITICS-TRIAL-CLEARSTREAM
A combo of file pictures showing (LtoR) EADS ex-vice president Jean-Louis Gergorin, former EADS research chief Imad Lahoud, former Arthur Andersen accountant Florian Bourges and journalist Denis Robert. Gergorin, Lahoud, Bourges and Robert charged in the so-called Clearstream affair will stand trial before the Paris criminal court from September 21 to October 21, 2009. Judges suspect them of concocting a faked list of account-holders at the Clearstream bank in Luxembourg, which included President Nicolas Sarkozy's name. Also standing trial is former Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, accused of plotting to smear Sarkozy, his then-rival for the French presidency.
