Former England footballer Alan Shearer leaves a Thanksgiving Service to remember the life of former England football manager Sir Bobby Robson, at Durham Cathedral in Durham, north-east England on September 21, 2009. Robson, who had fought repeated battles with cancer, finally succumbed to the disease on July 31, at the age of 76. About 1,000 guests paid final tribute to Sir Bobby with a service that was broadcasted live on television and beamed to giant screens at Ipswich and Newcastle, two of the clubs Robson managed during a career which also included successful spells at Barcelona, PSV Eindhoven and FC Porto.
