POLAND-TRANSPORT-ANIMALS-BIRDS
TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY MAJA CZARNECKA Polish bird breeder Piotr Zadworny kisses on September 18, 2009 a hawk, called Draka, outside a Warsaw metro station. Determined to keep its metro free of pigeon poop, city transport authorities in the Polish capital have employed the age-old killer instincts of birds of prey to end the universal urban scourge. "Just the presence of a bird of prey inside or at the entrance of a station is enough to act as a deterrent," explains Zadworny. AFP PHOTO WOJTEK / RADWANSKI
