China is going Hollywood for the ruling Communist party's 60th birthday with dozens of films, TV mini-series and shows hitting screen and stage with the sweeping "Jianguo Daye", or "The Founding of a Republic" all-star epic taking the country by storm. Also released in September, the story of "Tian An Men" reenacts events during the months following the end of the Liberation War in 1949 when the Gate of Heavenly Peace, the centuries-old tower structure at the entrance of the Forbidden City required an extensive facelift for the ceremony on October 1 that marked the founding of New China.
