FRANCE-POLITICS-TRIAL
(FILES) A photo taken August 31, 2006 in Troyes, eastern France showing Nicolas Sarkozy (L) and Dominique de Villepin after a governmental seminar as Interior minister and Prime minister. Villepin filed suit on September 28, 2009 against Sarkozy after the French president called him and other defendants in the smear trial "guilty". Villepin accuses Sarkozy of violating his right to presumption of innocence when he said in a television interview that the "guilty parties" in the so-called Clearstream affair were on trial.
